By law, I must have home insurance
Not everyone needs to purchase home insurance. If you paid for your house in full without financial assistance or a mortgage, then you are not required to purchase home insurance. Not having home insurance can put your home at high-risk if an unfortunate circumstance occurs; but, the decision is yours. Don’t forget that accidents can happen and you must be prepared to pay for all damages or liabilities. If a candle is left unattended, for example, and sets your house on fire, it could cause significant damage to your home and you would be responsible for paying all damages. There are many ways to save on home insurance; especially by comparing home insurance rates.
